The St Charles County Heritage Museum is located in St Charles Missouri in the restored brick two story that was built in 1857 by Lawrence Cribbin. Fritz and Anna Kuhlmann bought the property in 1897 and loved it so much that they shared it with everyone by opening their land for picnics and baseball games. It became known as Kuhlmann's Grove. The museum not only highlights the history of the property, but the entire county as well with exhibits of the ancient life of the first inhabitants and the German emigrants who came later. A reproduction of a barn is the main exhibit hall and features large exhibits. The museum will have permanent and rotating exhibits. The museum hours are 10am to 6pm, Wednesday through Saturday and noon to 5pm on Sunday. Admission is free. The Centennial Trail, a 2.2 mile asphalt hiking/biking trail, connects the St Charles County Heritage Museum with the Katy Trail.
